Hi! My name is Athena Martinez and I am a native Angeleno pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Chicana/o & Latina/o Studies here at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). Along with being a full-time student and rising senior, I work as a Program Coordinator for LMU’s nationally renowned First To Go Scholars Program, as well as an administrative assistant for the office of Enrollment Management. I also sit on the executive boards of two different on-campus organizations, including as president of Grupo Folklorico de LMU and the vice president of MEChA de LMU. I love being involved on campus and in my community back home, which is why I love volunteering and being busy. When I do have free time, though, I’m usually spending time with family and friends and/or at Dodger Stadium cheering on my favorite team.
